Purcitop Garden is a short, family friendly, adventure game set in a procedurally generated garden in the English countryside. Never experience quite the same adventure twice, as you play through one of two individual perspectives of the same story, following a mother or her daughter as they seek to find their eccentric uncle.

After arriving at Purcitop Manor our duo discover that their uncle, Professor Eustace, isn't answering the door, so they set about exploring the grounds in search of his workshop at the end of the garden. On their adventure through dynamically generated mazes, platform sections and even the odd race or two, you'll meet a supporting cast of characters, including Lorvis the hardworking but ever forgetful gardener, Foxy Schubustle and her cubs, and Larry the Snail.

Purcitop Garden is the follow up to Mow problem, which you can find here, or here!

TECHNICAL NOTE

Occasionally you *may* find yourself in a corner of the garden with no apparent path through. Fear not! Although the Professor's gardening algorithm might not be perfect, he always has a contingency plan. Simply hit F1 to open the console and type PANIC. Press return and, after a brief moment, the Professor's computer will get things up and running again.

Hi, when you try to run this through the Itch launcher, it thinks that the Visual Studio installer is the main executable, btw.

Purcitop Garden is great. What I especially like about it is its lovely graphics style and flair. There are lots of tiny details that make the overall feeling great.

Gameplay-wise, there's no rush. You can explore the mazes calmly and enjoy the neat story. I'd say it's indeed a good fit for youngsters, I'm going to let my daughter (7 yo) play it. The mini games are cool and well balanced.

The music is very calming as well and doesn't get annoying. Barking dogs, tweeting birds and other environmental sounds add to the great flair.

Once again, you did a great job, Matt. I'm impressed. :-)

Thank you for the kind words (and the generous donation! I see what you did there ;) ) I'm glad you enjoy the environmental sounds - there were times where I would literally be hanging out of my bedroom window with a boom mic trying to record the seagulls at 5am before the traffic got too noisy!

Hii, I've made a video beating the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^

-The story on the game is quite interesting, and in general the game feels really cohesive.

-The gameplay mechanics are really well thought and executed, they make the game feel really solid and fun to play, the only ones I think that need some polish are the ones on the 2D part of the game.

-The visual style is really awesome, I enjoyed it a lot, it totally fits the theme of the game.

-The level design is quite well thought and works really great.

Hopefully this is useful to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)

Regards
