One of my earliest projects was a top down racing game named Space Racers - it looked like this:

Unfortunately I never actually finished the project, for various reasons, but the video still seems very popular. I still had some of the assets lying around which is why, recently, I decided to attempt a remake of it. The most important thing missing from the original, in my opinion, was the option for online play, which was the focus for the remake. With this in mind I set about recreating the original, and have been adding it to OSGC so that the source can be documented and shared with anyone interested. It's not finished yet, in fact it has  only just reached alpha stage, but online play is working - as well as local single and multiplayer modes, including time trial, elimination and traditional races.

I've added the alpha to the OSGC download in the hopes of getting some feedback from anyone brave enough to try Space Racers in its current state. The new upload also contains a small fix for a bug causing the mouse cursor to disappear in Drone Drop. I hope you'll check it out and leave any comments below!
